As a Licensed Clinical Counselor, David has been helping patients with their behavioral health needs since 1985. Whether individually or as a family, through years of private practice, David has helped countless children, teens, and adults better their lives through better mental health. David's educational background and training includes degrees in both Psychology and Clinical Counseling from Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia, with a Doctorate in COUNSELING-PSYCHOLOGY from Freedom Bible College and Seminary, Rogers, Arkansas.
Certifications include that of National Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), Doctoral Addictions Counselor (DAC), and Approved Licensed Professional Supervisor (ALPS). David is Independently Licensed in the states of West Virginia (LPC), Kentucky (LPCC), Ohio (LPCC), and Florida (LMHC).
In addition to the diagnosis and treatment of myriad general counseling issues and concerns, David has also worked extensively in the areas of Occupational Health and Employee Assistance, as well as Substance Abuse and Addictions. David offers both Traditional, as well as Christian Counseling, via both In-person and Telehealth platforms. David also employs evidenced-based Cognitive-Behavioral approaches as foundational to all counseling interventions.
